Hello World

Hello, Hello to anyone and everyone who ends up reading this. I have attempted blogging before but have never succeeded in keeping up with it. Now that I am older and possibly wiser, my hope is that I can handle it. It took me about an hour to come up with a name for this blog and I ended up with a name that has nothing to do with what I'll be writing about. I am not often grumpy and I am not even very fond of pretzels! I just happened to once tell my husband, John, that he would turn into a pretzel if he kept eating them and it somehow turned into that he would be a grumpy pretzel. It sounds like a good name for a restaurant but whereas we're not amazing cooks... that won't be happening.

So let me tell you a little bit about myself and my life. I am a newlywed as of May 1, 2010, yes I accept your congratulations. I live in Massachusetts, north of Boston and I work in Boston doing Early Intervention Services for kids with autism under the age of 3. This is a fairly temporary endeavor as my husband has joined the Navy! He is scheduled to head to boot camp in June this year but is still waiting to hear back from the OCS (Officer Candidate School). If he is accepted to become an Officer in the Navy then he won't be leaving until at least October. I am not sure what his chances are but he does have 2 recommendation letters from Military Officers (They are both O6s), I assume that will help a bit. Anyhow, after he is done with boot camp whether it's Enlisted or Officer we will be moving out of Massachusetts. Now I have lived in Massachusetts my entire life and my entire family is here but I am very excited for this adventure. It's possible that we will be right in Connecticut in between our two families (his family is in Long Island, NY), so that would actually be pretty nice. There's also a chance we could be in Virginia, California, Mississippi, Georgia, Washington, Hawaii or Japan among others!

So I am not sure what my life will be like in a year but it is sure to be very different than it is now! For now I am just living day to day waiting to get more information on the changes coming up and thought it would be a good idea to start a blog about it. I had a fun weekend with my family at my nephew's Birthday Party and now it's back to work tomorrow. Weekends always seem to go so fast but at least I see 3 great kids tomorrow!

Goodnight to All!
